Estimator – Highways

Overview

In this Estimator role, you will support a range of civils and highways projects across the SE region. You’ll manage tender data, perform first principles estimates, and contribute to tender programmes and risk assessments. You work closely with the estimating team to add value and maintain positive team morale. This role offers flexible working and attractive benefits within a market-leading contractor.

Responsibilities

• Log tenders in and out of the Tender System
• Perform take-offs using Adobe Pro or CAD
• Prepare financial tender documents and submissions
• Scan and transfer files to the Estimating System
• Analyse tender data in Excel (subcontractor/supplier rates)
• Estimate from first principles
• Produce tender programmes with support
• Conduct risk analysis of schemes
• Value engineering to add tender value
• Undertake any reasonable estimating team tasks
• Experience with civil/highways schemes
• Understand NEC forms of contract

Key requirements

• min 4 years’ experience
