Overview
In this role you support a major aviation infrastructure programme by delivering robust cost management and commercial guidance. You will balance site-based and office work, collaborate with clients, contractors and technical teams, and help shape cost plans, forecasts and commercial reporting. You’ll manage compensation events and NEC contract administration to keep the project on time and value-driven. Responsibilities
- Deliver cost management services across major aviation infrastructure projects
- Prepare and maintain cost plans, budgets, estimates and commercial reports
- Monitor project performance, forecast costs and analyse variances
- Support administration and commercial management of NEC3/NEC4 contracts
- Manage compensation events and ensure contract compliance
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities and support mitigation strategies
- Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and project teams
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best practice across the programme
Key requirements
- At least 5 years’ experience in cost management, commercial management or quantity surveying within aviation, infrastructure, construction or transportation projects
- Experience working under NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts, including compensation events and contract administration
- Strong commercial acumen, analytical capability and attention to detail
- Experience producing cost reports, forecasts and financial analysis
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Working towards or holding MRICS
- CSCS card holder, or willing to obtain one
