We are currently seeking a Site Agent to work for a main Civil Contractor who works across the UK specializing a variety of Civil/highway engineering sectors with a primary focus of highway based projects. Role will be based in the West Midlands with the candidate expected to travel intermittently to various project sites when required.
Main Duties
Support the Project Manager in the execution of their duties, and management of smaller construction contractsManagement of site staff operatives and sub-contractorsProvide method statements, hazard risk assessments and project management plansUnderstand tender allowances and monitor contract costs against agreed budgetsPreparing and monitoring programme of workAssessment and engagement of sub-contractorsManage design co-ordinationManage contracts to ensure timely and profitable completion of contractsInform, consult and involve local groups as necessaryGood relations and reputation with clientsYou should be:
A good communicator with the ability to instruct and direct staffA good organiser, both of self and others with the ability to think in advanceExperienced in people management and motivation of staff
