Overview
In this role you will support a large Windows server estate within a financial services environment, driving infrastructure modernisation and security-focused improvements. You’ll work as part of the infrastructure team on server builds, deployments, patching and migrations, contributing to reliable, scalable operations. The role blends hands-on administration with automation to improve efficiency, with hybrid London-site work and on-call duties. A current SC clearance is required to engage on sensitive projects.
Responsibilities
- Build, configure, deploy, maintain and retire Windows servers
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy; oversee VMware vSphere environments
- Develop PowerShell scripts to automate tasks and improve efficiency
- Perform patching, OS upgrades, security hardening and vulnerability remediation
- Troubleshoot and support enterprise infrastructure; participate in migrations, upgrades and refreshes
- Follow ITIL processes; maintain documentation; participate in on-call/out-of-hours work
