What You’ll Be Doing
- Working across a broad mix of infrastructure maintenance, project activity and hands-on Helpdesk support.
- Supporting users directly while also contributing to improvements across servers, networks, security and Microsoft 365.
- Covering infrastructure including Hyper‑V, Active Directory, cyber security, WAN/LAN networking, and Microsoft 365.
- Working as part of a small IT function supporting users across multiple sites, with occasional travel when needed.
Tech Environment
You’ll need strong experience across Hyper‑V, Active Directory, core networking, cyber security fundamentals and Microsoft 365.
Additional exposure to remote desktop tooling, server monitoring, SSO, Sophos firewalls, Cisco switches, Meraki access points, Veeam or desktop OS deployment would be useful, but is not essential.
What Success Looks Like
In the first few months, success will mean getting up to speed with the environment, building strong working relationships with the wider team, supporting users effectively, and proactively identifying infrastructure improvements before they become bigger issues.
Reports to IT Manager
Onsite requirement Around 3 days per week onsite, with flexibility depending on business needs.

Salary Up to c. £45,000
