In this role you will help manage and improve environmental data workflows across contaminated land, hydrogeology and monitoring projects. You’ll coordinate labs, ensure accurate electronic data deliverables, and enable data access for assessment, modelling and reporting. You will train teams, standardise workflows and drive improvements to data systems. Expect a breadth of projects and opportunities to shape data capability across the team. Responsibilities
- Coordinate laboratory testing schedules and electronic data deliverables
- Support accurate data import into EQuIS and work with AGS data
- Perform QA/QC checks on data and export in formats for assessment, modelling and visualisation
- Deliver training and support users of environmental data systems
- Identify process improvements and develop standardised, efficient data workflows
- Contribute to cross-project data management improvements and best practices
Key requirements
- Degree in Environmental Science, Geoscience, Data Science, Geography, Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Engineering, Earth Sciences, or related discipline
- Experience with EQuIS or similar environmental data management systems
- Experience with laboratory electronic data deliverables and AGS data
- SQL, VBA or Visual Studio for data checking, automation or reporting
- ArcGIS or other GIS tools for data visualization
- Experience developing dashboards, automated checks, scripts or standardised workflows
- Bonus: Leapfrog or other geological modelling tools
- Background in contaminated land, hydrogeology, ground investigation or groundwater quality assessment
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical colleagues
