Chartered Project Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead end-to-end project delivery for a London-based property consultancy, managing refurbishment, extensions and new-builds across commercial sectors. You will work closely with investors, developers and occupiers, shaping briefs and steering projects from feasibility to completion. The position blends project delivery, client management and business development within a growing team. This is a hands-on role for MRICS-qualified professionals seeking career progression in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide full project management from feasibility through to completion
• Manage investor-led refurbishment and new-build schemes
• Act as Contract Administrator and Employer’s Agent where required
• Lead project teams, consultants and contractors
• Develop project briefs and assemble professional teams
• Drive projects through feasibility, design, procurement and construction stages
• Monitor programme, cost, quality and risk; provide clear client reporting
• Advise on contractual matters and JCT contracts (extension of time, loss & expense)
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and identify new business opportunities
• Support growth of the project management service and contribute to BD/networking/marketing

Key requirements

• MRICS qualification
• strong technical understanding in commercial property projects
• experience delivering refurbishments, alterations, extensions and fit-outs
• experience managing projects from 1m to 50m
• strong knowledge of JCT contracts and E/A roles
• experience as Contract Administrator and/or Employer’s Agent
• excellent report writing and client communication
• proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships
• strong commercial awareness and opportunity identification
• experience managing project teams and external consultants
• proactive and entrepreneurial approach to delivery and BD
• valid UK driving licence and access to vehicle
