Overview
In this role you will own Cytiva’s cell line and upstream process development portfolio, driving growth and shaping the strategy across services and platform solutions. You will bridge R&D, commercial, and external partners to translate technical capabilities into customer value, enabling earlier cell-line decisions and faster process development. You’ll lead cross-functional initiatives from concept to commercialization and help Cytiva expand its leadership in biologics development. This position offers global impact with a remote-friendly setup and close collaboration with the Clinical Programs team.

Responsibilities
- Own the cell line and upstream process development portfolio end to end, including strategy, roadmap, prioritization and performance
- Develop and execute global growth strategies for cell biology, cell line and upstream process development
- Define long-term roadmaps aligned with customer needs and market trends
- Assess opportunities for new products, partnerships, licensing and platform expansion
- Lead business case development and investment prioritization for strategic initiatives and commercialization of new technologies
- Drive cross-functional projects from concept to commercialization with governance, milestones and leadership communication
- Ensure successful launches, adoption and technology transfer for new platforms and workflows
- Act as SME for cell line development and upstream process development markets; monitor tech trends and outsourcing dynamics
- Lead market research and build customer segmentation, personas and value propositions
- Develop positioning and value-selling materials to enable the commercial team and engage the ecosystem across functions and sites
Key requirements
- Advanced degree (PhD, MS or equivalent) in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering or related field
- Significant experience in bioprocess applications, product management and commercial roles with depth in mammalian cell line development and upstream process development
- Ability to translate technical capability into clear customer value
- Strong business acumen across portfolio management, pricing and go-to-market strategies
- Willingness to travel up to ~30% domestically and internationally
