Overview

As a Senior Electrical Engineer in Stantec’s Water team, you will deliver EICA-focused electrical designs for major water projects across the UK, guiding them from feasibility to construction. You’ll collaborate with project managers and multi-disciplinary teams to implement practical, sustainable solutions that support regulators and communities. You’ll shape technical outputs and mentor graduates, driving engineering excellence. This role offers impact at scale, contributing to resilient, environmentally responsible water infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver electrical and EICA designs from feasibility through detailed design and construction support
  • Produce Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams, Network Infrastructure Diagrams and technical specifications
  • Develop electrical calculations, control philosophies and equipment schedules
  • Support design reviews, HAZOPs and technical workshops
  • Mentor graduate and junior engineers to raise technical excellence across the team

Key requirements

  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Experience delivering electrical or EICA design within the water sector or comparable infrastructure, utilities or industrial environments
  • Experience producing electrical calculations, technical specifications and design documentation
  • Knowledge of low voltage electrical systems and control philosophies
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
