Senior Manager – Internal Audit

Overview

As Senior Manager, Internal Audit at THG, you will lead global assurance activities and partner with the Executive team to drive risk mitigation across the Group. You’ll deliver the Board-approved audit plan spanning finance, procurement, IT, operations and more, while advising on controls and improvements. You’ll work across businesses and regions, developing audit programmes and guiding management through rapid, strategic changes. This role offers exposure to senior leadership, broad scope, and clear opportunities for career progression.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and manage the Internal Audit plan across the Group globally, covering multiple areas (Finance, Procurement, Technology, Retail, Marketing, Logistics, IT & Shared Services)
• Travel as required to conduct audits and engage with stakeholders
• Report findings to Senior leadership and executives, and defend recommendations when challenged
• Identify new audit risks and design audits in dynamic areas
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships to ensure timely implementation of audit actions
• Contribute to continuous improvement of Internal Audit processes and methodology
• Develop individual audit engagement programmes and methodologies
• Provide proactive advisory support to the business and build trust with key stakeholders
• Support management with risk-based insights and guidance in day-to-day operations
• Demonstrate professional ethics and maintain high standards in all audit activities

Key requirements

• Previous Internal Audit experience
• ACA/ACCA/ICAS qualification (min 4 years post-qualification)
• Advanced Excel
• Ability to build relationships quickly and promote engagement
• Forward-thinking, motivated, adaptable to ambiguity
• Line management and leadership experience
• Strong verbal and written communication, with ability to tailor style
• Experience discussing contentious matters, influencing stakeholders, and negotiating deadlines
