Overview
In this role you lead a multidisciplinary water team in Edinburgh to deliver Scotland’s next generation of water infrastructure. You will guide design delivery, mentor junior engineers, and ensure high-quality, compliant outcomes for major water projects. You’ll work with clients and partners to drive innovation, sustainability, and value across large-scale schemes. This is a delivery- and leadership-focused position in a collaborative, growth-minded environment.

Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers and coordinate with coastal, flood risk, and structures groups
- Deliver high-quality project outcomes meeting client expectations
- Manage design scope within budget and programme constraints
- Oversee QA processes and provide final sign-off on technical deliverables
- Mentor junior staff and foster professional growth
- Lead stakeholder engagement with clients and external partners
- Embed health and safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance
Key requirements
- BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering; professionally qualified (ICE, CIWEM) or equivalent experience
- Experience leading water/wastewater and/or flood risk projects
- Proven client-facing project management and commercial delivery
- People management experience and ability to lead teams
