Overview
In this Commercial Analyst role you will translate complex data into actionable insight to support forecasting and commercial decisions across global markets. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to monitor distributor performance and optimize campaigns and pricing. The role combines analytics with practical business impact, helping to mitigate supply risks and improve reporting. This is a hands-on position for someone who thrives on measurable impact in an international setting.
Responsibilities
- Produce monthly outturn forecasts from export orders and maintain rolling 4-month order book visibility
- Identify supply chain risks, delays and stock issues and escalate as needed
- Analyze distributor sales-in and sales-out to spot trends, performance drivers and opportunities
- Build and improve reporting/processes to evaluate campaign performance with International Marketing leadership
- Support commercial projects including pricing reviews, new market assessments and distributor incentive programmes
- Review distributor project briefs, assess commercial viability and provide clear recommendations
- Coordinate product availability, lead times and shipment status through accurate internal communication and cross-checking
Key requirements
- Degree educated (ideally Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or similar)
- Proven experience in a fast-moving, commercial and externally-facing analyst role
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to translate insight into commercial actions
- Advanced Excel (highly beneficial)
- ERP experience (SAP or similar)
- Understanding of statistical methods, analytical techniques, and basic finance/budgeting
- Strong attention to detail, stakeholder communication, and problem-solving
- Comfortable working across international markets and cultures
- Project management experience is advantageous
