Senior Commercial Analyst

Overview

As Commercial Analyst, you will support the commercial performance of a leading UK marketing and business transformation group. You’ll partner with client leads and senior stakeholders to translate data into actionable revenue plans and forecasts. The role sits at the intersection of finance, operations and client delivery, enabling informed decisions and improved profitability. You’ll contribute to process improvements and cross-functional initiatives that drive growth and efficiency within a diverse client portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Create revenue budgets, forecasts and commercial plans across multiple clients
• Produce monthly revenue, resource and cost forecasts to identify risks and opportunities
• Provide insightful analyses to support remuneration discussions, pricing reviews and resource planning
• Analyze timesheet, utilisation and profitability data to inform recommendations
• Support month-end activities (revenue recognition, accruals, deferrals, management reporting)
• Collaborate with finance and operations to ensure timely invoicing and Groupe standards compliance
• Contribute to business improvement initiatives, audits and new business proposals to enhance processes and systems

Key requirements

• Experience in finance, commercial finance or analyst roles with forecasting/reporting exposure
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
• Advanced Excel skills with large data sets, models, pivot tables and lookups
• Ability to analyse complex information and translate data into commercial insights
• Strong attention to detail and methodical prioritisation
• Collaborative communication skills across finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Interest in professional development and broadening commercial/analytical expertise
