Overview
In this role you will lead property services, compliance and investment across our housing portfolio, shaping service delivery and asset performance. You will manage a large team, drive improvements, and ensure homes meet safety and regulatory standards. You’ll work closely with residents, contractors and senior stakeholders to develop investment plans that sustain long-term housing outcomes. The position offers scope to influence strategy, improve value for money, and deliver high-quality homes for communities.

Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of property services, compliance and investment programmes across the housing portfolio
- Oversee repairs, maintenance, voids, compliance and investment activities to ensure value for money
- Manage service performance, budgets and contractor delivery
- Lead service improvement initiatives and respond to complex housing challenges (e.g., damp and mould)
- Develop investment plans and business cases for long-term asset performance
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of ~30 staff and ensure a customer-focused culture
- Collaborate with residents, contractors, councillors and senior stakeholders to drive improvements
- Communicate performance insights and build effective relationships to support decision-making
Key requirements
- Substantial experience in housing, asset management, property maintenance or construction
- Strong leadership, contract and budget management skills
- Knowledge of property compliance, building safety and service delivery in complex environments
- Proven ability to lead through change, address performance issues and develop talent
- Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills
- Proficiency with digital systems and data to support decision-making
- Commercial awareness and commitment to customer service and continuous improvement
