Overview

In this role you will support Citi’s critical applications to ensure stability and operational excellence within a globally distributed production environment. You’ll work closely with traders, users, and tech teams to diagnose issues, manage releases, and drive improvements that strengthen the payments platform. The position blends hands-on technical work with stakeholder collaboration to reduce risk and enable reliable, scalable systems. This is a chance to shape production support at a leading financial services technology team and grow through mentorship and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain applications and environments to meet service levels
  • Diagnose, resolve, and escalate production issues with timely communication
  • Participate in application releases end-to-end and conduct post-implementation analysis
  • Identify and lead stability, efficiency, and effectiveness enhancements
  • Perform same-day risk reconciliations and address vulnerabilities
  • Act as SME and advisor to stakeholders and collaborate with users, traders, and vendors

Key requirements

  • Experience in an Application Support role managing production environments
  • Experience installing, configuring, and supporting business applications and their environments
  • Proficiency in programming or scripting languages with willingness to continue learning
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills to prioritise complex information
  • Experience with issue tracking, reporting, and problem management tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication translating technical issues for non-IT stakeholders
  • Ability to plan, organise, and re-prioritise workload in a dynamic environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
