Overview
In this role you will lead planning and scheduling efforts within our Infrastructure team, guiding high-value projects and mentoring multidisciplinary teams. You’ll drive process improvements, interface with other project controls, and foster client collaboration to deliver better programme outcomes. The position offers national scope with Midlands/Central South focus and opportunities to innovate within a strong, expert community. You help shape strategy, growth, and the delivery culture for our planning and scheduling practice.
Responsibilities
- Manage client-facing commissions on high-value, complex projects
- Improve planning/scheduling processes and interfaces with project controls
- Build interdisciplinary relationships to benefit clients
- Support business growth through resource planning and strategy
- Oversee project scope, capability delivery and client satisfaction
- Senior line management including career development
- Develop project controls capability via recruitment and training
- Embed changes to planning/scheduling processes nationwide
- Contribute to Community of Practice (national and regional)
- Support performance reporting and client/industry insights
- Provide SME analysis to stakeholders and senior management
- Train and coach clients and junior leadership in planning/scheduling
- Drive national/regional initiatives aligned with strategic goals
Key requirements
- Subject matter expertise in Planning and Scheduling tools and techniques
- Experience interfacing with other Project Controls disciplines
- Directing Planning and Scheduling on complex projects/programmes
- Experience in leading large teams
- Ability to work in both delivery and transformation projects
- Familiarity with NEC contracts
- Defence role requirement: sole UK National with SC Clearance (or ability to obtain)
