Overview
Senior Project Manager sought to lead complex energy projects across their lifecycle, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver safely, on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. You’ll manage client relationships and governance, driving proactive risk management and efficient resource use, across a portfolio spanning renewables, substations, and other critical energy infrastructure. The role offers impact in supporting the UK’s energy transition and sustainability goals within a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

Responsibilities
- Own delivery of complex energy projects from planning to closeout
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams and ensure clear, consistent communication
- Manage risks, budgets, and resource allocation with robust governance
- Develop and maintain client and internal stakeholder relationships
- Ensure safety, on-time delivery, cost control, and quality standards
- Oversee scope, cost, and schedule to drive consistent project outcomes
- Contribute to a broad range of projects (e.g., energy from waste, solar, wind, substations, interconnectors, LVAC, pump stations, connection schemes)
Key requirements
- Experience delivering projects in energy or engineering consultancy
- Proficiency with MS Project or Primavera
- Strong understanding of project setup, financial management, forecasting, and reporting
- Experience working with NEC contracts (essential)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Degree in a relevant discipline (desirable APMP or similar qualifications)
