Overview

In this role you lead compensation and benefits strategy for Europe, aligning multi-country programs with local legislation and global governance. You will design structures, budgets, and incentive plans, while digitizing deployment and benchmarking against market data. You’ll support union/CBA negotiations, manage change programs, and drive C&B initiatives during M&A or transitions. You work with cross-functional stakeholders to improve employee experience and ensure compliant, competitive programs across the region.

Responsibilities

  • Design compensation structures, allowances, salary ranges, and incentive programs across multiple European countries
  • Budget, perform financial impact analysis and scenario planning; drive digitization for program implementation
  • Support union/CBA/Worker Council negotiations in the region
  • Benchmark and refine market intelligence to maintain competitive compensation programs
  • Ensure compliance with current legislation and governance in compensation practices
  • Lead design and deployment of compensation programs to drive organizational performance
  • Manage large change/program initiatives affecting the organization and delivering business value
  • Drive C&B agenda in mergers and acquisitions or other regional transitions
  • Independently resolve escalated compensation issues and propose optimal solutions for complex cases
  • Develop and report metrics on the effectiveness of compensation programs
  • Engage stakeholders to gather feedback and recommend design improvements
  • Develop targeted education materials and communication on compensation offerings
  • Manage benefits for the region including benchmarking, implementation, administration, and vendor management
  • Oversee a team of junior resources supporting Europe

Key requirements

  • 9-12 years’ experience in core compensation and benefits with multi-country operations or consulting in total rewards
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with complex data; high proficiency in spreadsheets and databases
  • Attention to detail while considering broader context for multi-variable solutions
  • Ability to engage multiple internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals
