Overview
In this role you will lead end-to-end delivery of Corp IT and business projects, guiding design through handover within an established governance framework. You will coordinate a multi-function IT project portfolio, secure robust business cases, and drive alignment between Corp Functions and IT priorities. The position offers impact through improving delivery standards, risk management, and PMO development in a hybrid/agile environment.

Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery lifecycle of IT and business projects (design, build, test, acceptance, commissioning, handover)
- Oversee the project portfolio to manage interdependencies, resourcing, and budgets
- Lead project gate reviews with Head of IT ensuring robust business cases and delivery plans
- Define standards for execution including documentation and metrics for portfolio, programme, and project management
- Track performance via OKRs and monthly sponsor reviews; drive alignment across functions
- Perform risk management to prevent/resolve issues and mitigate project problems
- Coach and develop the project management team, promoting hybrid/agile ways of working
- Capture and document workflows and technical requirements to support systems development
- Collaborate with Solutions Architect to ensure proposed solutions meet ABF security, technical, and business needs
- Create and obtain sign-off for project documentation per Run Book; develop detailed project plans
- Ensure adequate resources for delivery within plan and manage relationships with stakeholders and 3rd party suppliers
- Manage project gates and obtain appropriate approvals to progress through lifecycle
- Oversee portfolio of projects and input to prioritisation and demand management processes
- Provide performance information and timely reports to stakeholders; support continuous improvement
- Maintain financial forecasts, budgets, actuals, invoices, and variances
- Support continuous improvement of processes, procedures, and documentation
- Lead development of PMO dashboards, KPIs, and delivery roadmaps
- Lead project delivery forums and development of Project Managers, Contractors, and 3rd Parties

Key requirements
- Significant IT experience with progressive responsibility
- Proven experience as Senior Project Manager or Programme Manager
- Ability to define scope, planning, resources, and deliverables to meet customer expectations
- Strong risk analysis and mitigation capabilities
- Ability to prioritise and delegate within a project team
- Proven ability to mobilise and motivate cross-functional teams including IT, corporate functions, and 3rd parties
- Strong stakeholder management at senior levels across delivery and support teams
- Experience delivering portfolios on time, quality, and budget
- Experience in application, infrastructure, and cloud projects
- ITIL/Prince2/APM/Agile qualified or equivalent; or qualified by experience
