Trading Analyst

Overview

In this Trading Analyst role, you support Sportradar’s Managed Trading Service by monitoring live events, assessing market moves, and managing client risk. You will turn betting data into actionable insights for stakeholders and help improve trading performance and profitability. The position sits at the heart of the MTS team, collaborating with cross-functional partners to deliver real-time decisions and data-driven narratives. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape risk management and trading outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor live sporting events and respond to market developments in real time
• Manage client risk exposure across a diverse portfolio of sports and betting markets
• Analyse betting activity, market movements and customer behaviour to identify opportunities and mitigate risk
• Investigate unusual betting patterns and provide insights into market activity
• Interrogate betting data for a growing global client base
• Deliver timely responses to trading and betting-related enquiries
• Use data to explain trading performance and create clear insights and reports for stakeholders
• Continuously challenge existing approaches to improve trading performance, processes and profitability

Key requirements

• Strong familiarity with sports, especially UK/European/US betting markets
• Extensive knowledge of betting markets, odds structures, and risk management of core sports
• Deep understanding of odds correlation between betting markets
• Exceptional mathematical skills with proficiency in Excel or SQL for odds analysis
• Experience in a similar role within sports or betting is advantageous
• Decisive under time pressure in a trading environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience using data visualization tools
• Ability to take immediate action in a fast-moving trading environment
• Initiative-taking team player capable of collaborating with new teams
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Word and Excel
• Flexibility to work with shift-based patterns
