Assistant Director, M&A, Value Creation Services, Cash and Working Capital

Overview

In this role you will help private equity-backed and corporate clients improve cash flow and EBITDA through hands-on performance improvements. You’ll work closely with management and cross-functional teams to diagnose gaps, develop action plans, and implement accelerated initiatives. The role sits within Deloitte’s VCS practice, contributing to rapid, sustainable value creation. You will engage with senior stakeholders and leverage data-driven analysis to deliver measurable results.

Responsibilities

• Assess value-creation potential and develop action plans for performance improvement
• Work hands-on with management to secure buy-in and deliver initiatives within an accelerated timeframe
• Coordinate with Financial Advisory, Consulting and Deloitte network to provide a coherent view of operations and improvement opportunities
• Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive team culture and recognise colleagues’ contributions

Key requirements

• Track record of delivering programs or accelerated cash flow/working capital improvement initiatives in consultancy or corporate settings
• Experience implementing cash and working capital initiatives (Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Inventory optimization)
• Business development experience, including generating leads and expanding projects
• Private equity portfolio experience is desirable
• Senior stakeholder and project management capability
• Talent development and people management experience
• Strong analytical skills with Excel and/or BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally
