Finance Manager

Overview

In this role you lead the Finance Function for PuzzlePlay, a fast-growing startup within Tripledot Studios. You’ll own core accounting, treasury, FP&A and strategic projects, with visibility across leadership and product teams. You’ll shape financial processes and controls as the business scales, including expansion into new markets. This is a hands-on, high-impact role with autonomy and the backing of a major gaming group. You’ll help build a standalone finance function aligned with PuzzlePlay’s growth and product-driven economics.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close, reporting, reconciliations and intercompany accounting
• Manage treasury, FX exposure and payment provider relationships
• Oversee reward liabilities, settlement cycles and cash flow
• Build and maintain finance controls around fraud, abuse and user payouts
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and KPI reporting
• Build financial models around PuzzlePlay’s economics and user dynamics
• Partner with Product on financial implications of new features
• Support entry into new territories including tax, payments, regulatory and compliance
• Collaborate with Legal, KYC/Compliance and external advisors
• Develop intercompany recharge arrangements and finance systems/controls as the business scales
• Own statutory reporting and audit as the business reaches scale

Key requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• 1–2 years PQE
• Commercially minded with strong technical accounting fundamentals
• Autonomous and able to adapt in a fast-moving environment
• Comfortable building processes where they don’t yet exist
• Experience working across finance, product, operations and leadership
• Keen to develop experience in financial modelling, payments, multi-currency and international operations
