We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and motivated Casual Support Workers to join our Health & Wellbeing Accommodation Service across Birmingham.

This is an opportunity to make a real difference to individuals facing multiple and complex challenges, supporting them to build stability, improve their wellbeing, and move towards greater independence.

About the Service

Our accommodation-based service supports adults aged 25+ who may have experienced:

  • Homelessness and housing instability
  • Substance use and recovery challenges
  • Mental health difficulties
  • Involvement with the criminal justice system
  • Exclusion from, or difficulty engaging with, mainstream services

Using a person-centred, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach, we work alongside residents to help them access the support, opportunities, and resources they need to thrive.

What you’ll be doing

  • Building positive and professional relationships with residents
  • Providing practical and emotional support tailored to individual needs
  • Supporting residents to access health, housing, employment, training, and community services
  • Promoting independence, resilience, and wellbeing
  • Working in partnership with external agencies to ensure coordinated support
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to safeguarding processes
  • Helping to create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment

Who we’re looking for?

  • Have an understanding of the challenges faced by adults with multiple and complex needs, whether through professional or lived experience
  • Are empathetic, approachable, and non-judgemental
  • Have a positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others
  • Understand the importance of safeguarding and professional boundaries
  • Can work effectively as part of a team
  • Have knowledge of, or an interest in, Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE) and Trauma-Informed Practice
  • Are flexible and willing to work across our Birmingham-based services
