POST OF PART-TIME PROPERTY MANAGER, JAMES LLOYD ALMSHOUSE TRUST, BOURNVILLE, BIRMINGHAM
James Lloyd Almshouse Trust provides comfortable, convenient, and self-contained, accommodation for 31 ladies from 55 years of age within a thriving community in Bournville, Birmingham, that offers them independence and security.
We have a vacancy for a part-time Property Manager who will be responsible to the Directors of the Trust for the upkeep of the site.
You will be responsible for the management of the Almshouse properties and grounds. Your duties will include preparing schedules of work for day-to-day
and cyclical maintenance, the supervision of contractors for repairs and maintenance, cleaning and gardening; managing the maintenance budget and ordering work; carrying out various health and safety checks; compiling risk assessments as necessary; and dealing with the administration involved. An ability to carry out minor repairs and changing light bulbs would be an advantage.
The running of the Almshouse is split between the Property Manager and the Independent Living Manager, who is responsible for the residents. Both posts are part time, 3 days a week with one overlapping day. You will be required to provide basic cover for your colleague on days they are not at work, as they will provide cover for you.
