Overview

In this role you will oversee payroll operations for APAC and EMEA from London, partnering with regional teams to ensure accurate, timely payroll across multiple jurisdictions. You will maintain governance, controls, and partnerships with HR, finance, and external providers to support compliant, efficient payroll delivery. The position offers exposure to global payroll processes, system configurations (Workday), and ongoing process improvement. You will be a key contributor to payroll continuity and accuracy in a collaborative, professional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll delivery across APAC and EMEA with multi-jurisdictional accuracy and deadlines
  • Review payroll inputs/outputs for accuracy (salary changes, bonuses, deductions, benefits, pensions, leave, off-cycle payments)
  • Coordinate payroll activities (monthly/quarterly/year-end) ensuring governance and local statutory adherence
  • Partner with HR, Benefits, Finance, Global Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Global Mobility, and stakeholders for data changes and funding
  • Maintain payroll compliance by monitoring regulations and applying controls for local tax and reporting obligations
  • Manage relationships with external payroll providers and support audits/regulatory inquiries
  • Maintain Workday configurations (taxes, earnings, deductions, GL mapping) for accurate reporting
  • Collaborate with Accounting/Treasury on payroll journals, reconciliations, and cash forecasting
  • Provide cross-regional support for continuity and expatriate payroll transitions
  • Identify process risks and drive improvements, including automation and efficiency initiatives

Key requirements

  • Five to seven years of payroll experience
  • Hands-on payroll processing across multiple countries
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience with payroll systems; Workday preferred
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Comfort with seasonal peaks and year-end deliverables
