Overview
In this role you will support the delivery of major infrastructure and energy projects from development through handover, working with cross-functional teams to strengthen governance and delivery. You help improve project controls, reporting and assurance, while coordinating information and change across complex programmes. You gain exposure to multiple advisory disciplines and contribute to capability-building and continuous improvement. Responsibilities
- Support delivery of projects and programmes from early development to handover
- Review and implement project delivery processes, controls and ways of working
- Coordinate governance and assurance activities including tracking actions and evidence
- Manage project information through common data environments and project systems
- Assist in managing scope, risks, assumptions, dependencies and change
- Contribute to NEC contract processes (early warnings, compensation events, change management)
- Support planning, cost, risk, commercial and performance management through data, analysis and reporting
- Develop reports, dashboards and governance packs for stakeholders
- Facilitate collaboration across technical teams, contractors, suppliers and clients
- Support organisational change initiatives and capability-building programmes
- Contribute to project reviews and governance assessments
Key requirements
- Experience in project or programme delivery environments in infrastructure, engineering, utilities, consultancy or regulated sectors
- Growing understanding of project lifecycle progress from development to handover
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage information across multiple workstreams
- Excellent communication skills with clients, technical specialists and stakeholders
- Strong Microsoft Office skills in reporting, tracking and documentation
- Analytical and inquisitive mindset with ability to identify improvements
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and dynamic environments
- Experience in design assurance, requirements management, interface management, governance or project controls would be advantageous, but not essential
- Interest in progressing professional qualifications such as APM or NEC
