Clinical Negligence Solicitor / Legal Executive

Overview

In this role you will manage a varied, high-value clinical negligence caseload across pre-issue and litigation stages, delivering excellent client care and maintaining strong links with experts. You will supervise a small team of case handlers, provide regular guidance and contribute to training and team development. The position supports hybrid working from Bristol or Cardiff and requires solid claimant experience and litigation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of complex clinical negligence claims (pre-issue and litigated)
• Provide supervision and mentoring to a small team of case handlers
• Conduct regular supervision meetings and contribute to training and team development
• Maintain high standards of client care and relationships with experts and stakeholders
• Collaborate with internal and external parties to support claim resolutions
• Work in a busy, demanding environment with a pragmatic approach to claims management

Key requirements

• Strong claimant clinical negligence experience
• Proven track record in litigation
• Solid understanding of CPR and clinical negligence law
• Experience with Legal Expenses Insurance, publicly funded work or CFA arrangements is advantageous
• Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills
• Ability to supervise and support junior team members
• Hybrid working capability with office/home flexibility from Bristol or Cardiff
