Senior Associate – Corporate Law

• Annual Salary: £65k – £85k
• Location: Guildford
• Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid (up to 50% remote work)

We are seeking a Senior Associate with over 6 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) to join a Legal 500 Corporate team in Guildford. This role offers a significant opportunity for career development, high visibility within and outside the firm, and a pivotal role in business development with full partner support.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Work closely with the team on a full range of corporate transactions, including M&A, spin-out, and venture capital transactions.
• Draft transaction documents and legal advice tailored to client needs.
• Manage transactions effectively, ensuring smooth execution and compliance with legal standards.
• Engage actively with clients and third parties to facilitate the successful delivery of transactions.
• Participate in and potentially lead the team’s business development activities, enhancing the firm’s market presence and client base.
• Operate under the firm’s hybrid agile working policy, allowing flexibility to work from home or another UK location for up to 50% of the time.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Must be SRA Qualified with a minimum of 6 years PQE.
• Proven background as an Associate or Senior Associate in private practice.
• Strong experience in supervising juniors and managing transactions from inception to completion.
• Previous business development experience is highly preferred.
• Excellent legal drafting and transaction management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining strong client relationships and managing stakeholder expectations.
