Overview

In this role, you will oversee day-to-day construction site operations to deliver projects safely, on schedule and within budget. You will collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers and clients, upholding high standards of safety, quality and efficiency. The position offers long-term career development within a growing business with diverse projects across the UK. You will actively promote a strong safety culture and drive project performance and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on leadership role in a dynamic construction environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day site operations from start to completion
  • Ensure works are safe, efficient and meet project specs
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel to maintain programme deadlines
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, architects and clients during delivery
  • Monitor progress, quality and cost against the programme
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and procedures
  • Conduct site inspections, quality checks and audits
  • Identify and resolve site issues to minimise delays
  • Deliver toolbox talks and foster a safety-focused culture
  • Manage labour, plant, equipment and materials efficiently
  • Maintain accurate site records (diaries, progress and incident reports)
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation measures

Key requirements

  • Previous experience as Site Manager, Site Supervisor or similar in construction
  • Proven track record delivering construction projects
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent organisational and communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritise
  • Good knowledge of construction methods, materials and regulations
  • SMSTS
  • Valid UK Driving Licence
  • EUSR SHEA Power or CSCS Card
  • IT literacy with Microsoft Office
