Overview
Experienced residential conveyancing lawyer or legal executive sought to join a busy private property team in Shrewsbury. You will manage a mixed caseload across freehold and leasehold transactions, remortgages, new builds and transfers of equity, working both independently and with the team. The role combines demanding casework with a strong client service focus and potential involvement in business development. You’ll contribute high-quality advice within a regulated framework while building lasting client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Manage a residential conveyancing caseload (freehold/leasehold sales and purchases)
- Handle remortgages, new build transactions and transfers of equity
- Maintain high service levels and meet competing deadlines
- Develop and maintain client relationships with agents and other professionals
- Support business development activities
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Work independently while collaborating with the team
Key requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in managing own residential conveyancing caseload
- Strong technical knowledge of residential conveyancing
- Excellent communication skills
- Solid experience using case management systems
- Good understanding of regulatory requirements
- Experience in landlord and tenant matters or leasehold extensions (advantageous)
- Eligible for Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer status
