Overview

In this role you will lead regional employee and labour relations across UK & Ireland, partnering with senior leaders to shape labour relations frameworks and resolve sensitive issues. You’ll manage multiple stakeholder relationships, scale ER practices for new business lines, and drive employee engagement initiatives. You’ll work across cross-functional teams, balancing proactive projects with reactive issue resolution, travel up to 30% as needed. This is a high-impact position in a global, customer-centric company.

Responsibilities

  • Regional ownership across a geographic region and managing stakeholder relationships across multiple locations
  • Develop labour relations frameworks for scaling business lines
  • Provide labour relations depth to senior leaders (up to director level) on proactive and reactive projects
  • Facilitate and improve employee-led groups/forums
  • Lead negotiations when necessary
  • Identify and address employee concerns early to de-escalate and resolve issues
  • Project manage proactive initiatives to improve employee relations and engagement
  • Handle reactive, high-sensitivity ER issues with tight timelines

Key requirements

  • Experience in employee relations, labor relations, or labor/employment law
  • Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree, law degree, or specialized training in ER)
  • Experience and solid understanding of UK employment and labor laws
  • Direct experience managing ERB relationships or employee forums in UK consultation environments
  • Negotiation experience
  • Strong interpersonal and persuasion skills
  • Problem solving and analytical thinking in ambiguous environments
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
