Overview
As Contract Manager, you will lead a cross-disciplinary facilities and project delivery team to meet client and contractual expectations. You’ll own P&L and budgets, ensure safety and quality standards, and manage risk and compliance across healthcare facilities. You will build strong client relationships, drive improvement, and oversee audits and performance reporting. The role offers a chance to shape service delivery and contribute to a sustainable future in healthcare environments.

Responsibilities
- Lead and direct a multi-disciplinary FM and project delivery team to high standards
- Implement Quality and SHEQ policies with clients and support teams
- Accountable for P&L and contract financial objectives
- Manage CAPEX/OPEX and lifecycle budgets aligned with commercial needs
- Oversee asset management and regulatory compliance (statutory, contract service standards, SHTMs)
- Establish and review H&S responsibilities; conduct audits and inspections
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and best practices
- Develop and coach staff to meet contract requirements
- Maintain client relationships and provide monthly performance reports
- Attend monthly client meetings to review performance and discuss risks/opportunities
Key requirements
- relevant degree or professional qualification in Estates/Facilities
- experience managing multi-disc FM teams and contracts in the PFI healthcare sector
- experience with CAFM systems for helpdesk tasks and reporting
- financial or commercial qualifications beneficial (or demonstrable budgeting skills)
- IOSH or similar health and safety qualification
- knowledge of Building Regulations
- understanding of NHS SHTM 00 best practice guidance for health care engineering
- strong leadership and people engagement skills
- proficient in MS Office
- full driving licence and willingness to travel
