Overview

In this role you lead the fundraising efforts for Greenwich’s Culture Strategy and major cultural programmes, driving investment from public, philanthropic, and trusts partners. You collaborate with internal teams to shape fundable projects and secure revenue and capital funding to strengthen the borough’s cultural infrastructure. You will build and manage relationships with key funders and support monitoring and reporting for funded initiatives. This is a pivotal, impact-focused opportunity in one of London’s most dynamic boroughs to help transform cultural life.

Responsibilities

  • Lead fundraising for the Culture Strategy and major cultural programmes.
  • Develop compelling, evidence-based funding proposals for revenue and capital investment.
  • Build partnerships with cultural organisations, community groups, and creative businesses.
  • Collaborate with Culture, Regeneration, Planning, and Economic Development to develop fundable projects.
  • Manage relationships with funders including Arts Council England, NLHF, GLA, DCMS, and major trusts/foundations.
  • Support monitoring, evaluation, and reporting for funded projects.

Key requirements

  • Experienced fundraiser with a track record securing investment for cultural, creative, heritage, or community programmes.
  • Excellent writing skills, strategic insight, and ability to build cross-sector partnerships.
  • Comfortable navigating the cultural funding landscape, able to work at pace, and motivated to make an impact in Greenwich.
