Health, Safety and Environment Lead (EMEA)

Overview

In this newly created role, you will provide strategic HSE leadership across EMEA pharmaceutical sites and laboratories, driving consistency and performance. You will work with site leaders to balance strong standards with local realities, shaping safety culture and risk management. You will oversee DSEAR/ATEX compliance, process safety and incident investigations, delivering continuous improvement. Responsibilities

• Lead HSE and Process Safety strategy across EMEA sites and laboratories
• Act as technical authority for DSEAR and ATEX, including explosion risk controls
• Drive risk assessments, HAZOPs, management of change, and incident investigations
• Develop and improve HSE systems, audits, CAPA, and continuous improvement
• Partner with senior site leaders to strengthen safety culture and performance

Key requirements

• Senior HSE and Process Safety experience in pharmaceuticals/labs or high-hazard environments
• Strong knowledge of DSEAR, ATEX and explosion risk management
• Experience supporting multi-site and multi-country EMEA operations
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification
