Health, Safety & Environment Manager (Commercial Fit-Out Contractor) | Permanent | Central London

Overview

In this role you will drive the Health, Safety and Environment strategy across high-end commercial fit-out projects in London, building on an existing strong safety culture. You will ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001 and push continuous improvement beyond current standards. You will lead risk assessments, incident investigations, audits, and training, coordinating with project teams and management. This role offers the chance to shape HSE practice within a busy trade contractor environment and contribute to the company’s ambition to be the best in its industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HSE policies aligned with project needs
• Lead audits, investigations and incident root-cause analysis
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001
• Manage safety on London-based commercial fit-out projects
• Coordinate training and toolbox talks for site teams
• Promote continuous improvement of HSE practices across the business
• Liaise with management, clients, and subcontractors on safety issues

Key requirements

• Experience in the commercial fit-out market
• Background in working for a trade contractor (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of HSE management and regulatory requirements
• Proven ability to drive safety culture and improvements
