Responsibilities

• Lead preparation, review, and submission of financial statements under UK GAAP and IFRS
• Provide strategic advisory including financial performance analysis and risk mitigation
• Mentor and develop a team of junior accountants and advisory professionals
• Oversee audit and assurance engagements from planning to completion
• Act as primary client contact and identify expansion opportunities
• Develop financial reports, dashboards, and insights for senior stakeholders
• Monitor and implement updates to accounting standards and regulations
• Support business development through proposals and client pitches
• Participate in internal quality reviews and uphold professional standards

Key requirements

• ACCA or ACA qualification with active practice rights and membership
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting, audit, or business advisory in professional services or corporate environment
• Expertise in UK GAAP and IFRS and complex accounting treatments
• Proven leadership, performance management, and staff development
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Advanced proficiency in SAP, Oracle, Xero, QuickBooks, and Excel (including data modelling)
• Client-focused with ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure
