About the CleaningTeam
Our Cleaning Teamis made up of 15 dedicated colleagues who work across morning and afternoonshifts to maintain the high standards of cleanliness that our College communityexpects.
Working closelywith the Cleaning Supervisor and Estates Team, you’ll be part of a friendlyteam where collaboration, mutual support and a strong work ethic are highlyvalued. About the Role
As a CleaningAssistant, you will help provide a clean, safe and welcoming environment foreveryone who studies, works and visits the College.
Working as part ofa supportive team, you will carry out a range of cleaning duties across thecampus to ensure our facilities remain well-presented and maintained to a highstandard.
Your contributionwill directly support the learning experience of our students and the wellbeingof the wider College community.
Training will be providedin the use of specialist cleaning equipment where necessary.
KeyResponsibilities
Areas will beallocated by the Cleaning Supervisor or Estates Team according to Collegepriorities.
Your duties mayinclude:
- Vacuum cleaning floors andcarpets
- Dusting and cleaning surfaces
- Cleaning washrooms, toilets andsinks
- Washing and storing crockerywhere required
- Sweeping and mopping floors
- Emptying waste and recyclingbins
- Operating cleaning equipment andmachinery following appropriate training
- Reporting any maintenanceissues, hazards or concerns identified during your work
- Supporting colleagues tomaintain high standards across the College
- Undertaking other dutiesappropriate to the role as reasonably required
