Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated member of staff to join our busy NIHR/WT Clinical Research Facility (CRF), Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. The position combines patient booking coordination, administration, reception cover, and support for clinical research activities, requiring someone who is organised, approachable, and comfortable working in a busy healthcare environment.,

  • Act as the first point of contact for investigators and Research Nurses booking patients into the CRF
  • Provide administrative support to Senior Research Sisters and Research Nurses
  • Maintain and update electronic annual leave records
  • Provide cover for the CRF reception when required
  • Liaise with consultants, researchers, nurses, and other staff across the organisationStrong organisational and workload prioritisation skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with staff at all levels
  • Good IT skills, including:Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel Microsoft Email systems Patient Booking systems
  • Ability to learn new computer systems quickly
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Flexible approach to supporting departmental needs
  • Significant relevant administrative experience
  • Strong customer service focus and professional manner

Working Hours

Monday to Friday — 8.00am to 4.00pm

This role would be ideal for someone with experience in:

  • Healthcare administration
  • NHS reception or patient-facing services
