Job Description

As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a key role in supporting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing within early years settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting children’s learning through play and structured activities
• Promoting children’s physical, emotional, and social development
• Maintaining a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment
• Supporting the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
• Building positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
• Observing, monitoring, and recording children’s progress
• Adhering to safeguarding, health and safety, and setting policies at all times

Person Specification Essential

• Level 3 Qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education
• Valid Paediatric First Aid Certificate
• Good understanding of the EYFS framework
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Desirable

• Previous experience working within nurseries or children’s centres
• Experience supporting children from birth to five years
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child development
• Flexibility and adaptability across different settings
