Overview
As a Field Service Commissioning Engineer, you will troubleshoot, commission and service Alfa Laval equipment at customer sites, focusing on Decanters and related machinery. You will work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure reliable operation and optimal performance, while training customers and supporting technical audits. The role offers global collaboration, opportunities for growth and a dynamic environment that values innovation and sustainability. You will travel as needed and contribute to sales-enabled service through technical support and problem solving.

Responsibilities
- Commissioning, servicing and fault finding of new and existing equipment
- Performing I/O tests on control equipment
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding on equipment
- Trial test runs to verify performance and quality
- Documenting serviced equipment, parts, and travel hours for invoicing
- Preventive mechanical maintenance on customer equipment
- Assist and train customer maintenance personnel
- Provide process and technical support to department and customers
- Collaborate with sales on equipment audits to generate new business
- Meet KPIs for job reports and timesheets
Key requirements
- Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance background
- Experience with electronic equipment testing, fault finding, SCADA, PLCs and reading schematic diagrams
- Ability to travel and spend nights away from home
- Full driving licence
- PC literate and able to use a laptop for work tasks
- Qualified apprenticeship or equivalent technical training
- Knowledge of or exposure to separation equipment desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
