Holiday Club Sports Coach Monday- Thursday 10am-12pm and 1pm-3pm Location- Wallington Start date- October Half term (Please note, you are unable to start unless recruitment checks are complete) Pay- £13ph We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and energetic individual to deliver a variety of sports sessions during the School Holidays at our Playsafe Holiday Club. Activities may include tennis, rounders, football skills, tag rugby, obstacle courses, team games, and other fun sporting activities for children. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a good knowledge of a range of sports and physical activities. They will be confident in leading engaging sessions, promoting participation, and creating a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for all children attending the club.

Key responsibilities-

  • Plan and lead a variety of age-appropriate sports and physical activities.
  • Deliver structured coaching sessions, games, challenges, and team-building activities based off the time table.
  • Adapt activities to meet the needs, abilities, and interests of individual children.
  • Encourage participation and ensure all children feel included.
  • Promote positive behaviour and good sportsmanship.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in your care.
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and club policies at all times.
  • Maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios and effective supervision.
  • Set up and pack away sports equipment safely.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and stored correctly.
  • Keep activity areas safe, clean, and organised.

Essential

  • Experience working with children aged 4-12 years.
  • Passion for sport, physical activity, and child development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and engage children of different ages and abilities.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Reliable, enthusiastic, and energetic approach.

Desirable

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Coaching Qualification in a recognised sport.
  • Paediatric or Emergency First Aid qualification.
  • Experience working in holiday clubs, schools, sports camps, or childcare settings.
