Pertemps Daventry seeks a Production Operative for a permanent, full-time position in Daventry. The role pays £26,161 annually, £12.90 hourly, across 39 hours weekly: Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm, Friday 8:30am to 4:00pm. Working within a busy production team, duties include manufacturing and assembling abrasive products, cutting materials to length, and operating machinery. Full training is provided, covering various production processes. Candidates should demonstrate accuracy, quality focus, and reliability. Working as part of a busy production team, you will be responsible for the manufacture and assembly of abrasive products, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of quality and accuracy. The successful candidate will receive training across a variety of production processes and machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing coated abrasive belts
  • Cutting materials to length
  • Joint preparation, assembly and pressing
  • Slitting materials to required widths
  • Packing finished products
  • Carrying out quality control inspections
  • Operating production machinery safely and efficiently
  • Supporting additional production duties as required
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience operating machinery
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or factory environment
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Understanding of quality control procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible, reliable and willing to learn
  • Able to work under pressure when required.
