Overview
In this Senior Principal Planner role, you will solve complex planning and scheduling challenges with a broad domain knowledge in project controls. You’ll influence program direction and resource allocation for EPCIC projects, focusing on subsea/offshore oil & gas. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain schedule integrity, analyze performance, and drive recovery actions. This is a high-impact role that blends technical scheduling expertise with strategic problem solving and mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Perform schedule analyses with Primavera P6, Deltek Fuse & Risk, and MS Project
- Support baseline creation during project initiation and setup
- Lead detailed multi-discipline scope reviews and schedule quality checks
- Update physical progress against EVMS data and validate reports
- Develop and maintain level 3/4 activity schedules for marine scope installation projects
- Manage engineering–procurement–fabrication–construction–installation sequences to control critical path
- Highlight delays, accelerate recovery actions, and adapt schedules for unforeseen conditions
- Mentor junior planners and deliver schedule-related initiatives
- Run risk analysis and facilitate risk review meetings
- Set up project schedules parameters (WBS/OBS/Calendar) and ensure alignment with global codes
Key requirements
- 15+ years of EPCIC experience in Subsea/Offshore Oil and Gas projects
- Experience in fabrication of subsea modules (PLEM/PLET)
- Advanced command of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office
- Proficient in advanced Excel (curves, histograms, dynamic tables, formulas)
- Ability to produce and assess progress curves, histograms, variance reports, and critical paths
- Ability to create multidisciplinary logically linked schedules per best industry practices
