Overview

In this role you will support the Project Controls team in Edinburgh by leading risk management activities on major infrastructure projects. You will help identify threats and opportunities, monitor risk budgets, and develop measurable responses. You will produce risk reports for senior management and contribute to contingency planning and time risk allowances. Responsibilities

  • Facilitate identification, assessment and prioritisation of threats, opportunities and issues
  • Maintain visibility of threat/opportunity trigger points for risk budgeting and retirement decisions
  • Assist with development of measurable management responses and assess post-mitigated positions
  • Monitor overall risk exposure against remaining budget and timeline
  • Produce fit-for-purpose risk reports to inform senior management actions
  • Understand quantitative risk assessment to inform contingency and time risk allowances
  • Demonstrate competency with tools such as Safran, @risk, PRA or equivalent
  • Familiarity with ARM, Xactium, Predict, Tableau, PowerBI

Key requirements

  • Industry experience in construction, infrastructure, engineering, automotive or management consultancy
  • Understanding of integrated risk management solutions across portfolios, programmes and projects
  • Qualitative and quantitative risk assessment including probabilistic modelling (@risk, PRA, Safran or equivalent) with training provided
  • Risk and Scenario Analysis workshop facilitation
  • Development of proactive threat mitigation and opportunity exploitation, and broad understanding of Project Controls methodology and risk interactions
