Overview
In this role you will support the development of anchor products and services for the Acteon Mooring & Anchors segment from concept through market. You will perform geotechnical analysis, lab testing coordination, and consultancy activities, contributing to product fabrication and successful field validation. You will deliver engineering deliverables, cost estimates, and proposals while advancing the team’s technical competence. You will engage with clients and partners to shape reliable anchoring solutions for offshore applications.
Responsibilities
- Support R&D from concept to market including analytical technique development and lab testing coordination
- Perform geotechnical and structural analyses for offshore/subsea foundations and mooring systems
- Calculate drag embedment and vertical load anchor specifications
- Coordinate with drawing department for design drawings and prepare client deliverables
Key requirements
- Degree in Geotechnical, Civil, or Structural Engineering (or similar)
- Minimum 5 years’ offshore energy experience
- Geotechnical data assessment and analysis for offshore/subsea foundations
- Structural analysis and design for offshore/subsea structures
- Experience with anchor design, fabrication, operation, and installation
- Knowledge of offshore engineering codes (DNV, ISO, API)
- Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS); drag anchor assessment software (DIGIN); pile analysis software (LPILE, OPILE, RSPILE); structural analysis software (ANSYS); CAD (2D/3D)
- Experience in QA/QC, technical reporting, and client-facing proposals
- Project management experience including tendering and scheduling
- Willingness to travel internationally and offshore
