Overview
As a VP in Quality Assurance, you lead targeted reviews of regulatory calculations and disclosures to substantively test implementations for UK/EU CRR and IFPR entities. You work with Regulatory Reporting, Capital Product, and Capital Policy to validate upcoming regulations (e.g., CRR3/Basel 3.1) and remediation plans. You independently manage 1–4 month projects, document findings for senior management, and provide SME support to reporting teams. Your work shapes reliable capital reporting and controls across regulated entities.
Responsibilities
- Lead independent, time-bound reviews of regulatory calculations and disclosures 1–4 months
- Draft and present findings, impact assessments, and remediation recommendations to senior management
- Collaborate with Regulatory Reporting, Capital Product, and Change teams to ensure accurate implementations
- Review requirements for upcoming regulations and COREP/reporting impacts
- Track regulatory publications and interpretations relevant to Reporting
- Support remediation efforts and assist with strategic issue remediation prioritisation
- Provide SME guidance on reporting interpretations to the Reporting team
- Assist with the implementation of remediation plans and other projects as needed
Key requirements
- Familiarity with CRR2/3 and COREP within UK/EU regulation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
- Degree qualification and either accountancy qualification or equivalent industry experience
- Solid understanding of investment banking products (derivatives, security financing, deposits, loans, credit facilities)
- Self-motivated, independent, delivery-focused
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills across teams
- Ability to critically review and challenge numbers with analytical rigor
