Overview
In this role you lead tax reporting, compliance, and governance for a growing international business. You work within the finance team to ensure accurate UK/US and international tax reporting, manage year-end processes, and oversee transfer pricing and disclosures. You partner with external auditors and drive process improvements, including AI-driven initiatives, to strengthen tax controls. This is a high-impact role that shapes tax strategy across multiple entities while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead group tax reporting including current and deferred tax
- Manage year-end tax reporting across UK, US, and international entities
- Oversee transfer pricing and tax disclosures
- Act as main contact for external auditors
- Manage UK corporate tax and US federal/state tax compliance
- Support international tax compliance and indirect taxes (VAT/sales tax)
- Monitor tax legislation changes and manage R&D tax claims
- Improve tax controls, processes, and reporting efficiency
- Support finance projects, systems improvements, and AI-driven initiatives
Key requirements
- ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualified
- Strong corporate tax and tax accounting experience
- UK tax knowledge with US tax exposure desirable
- Experience within a multi-entity international organisation
- Strong Excel and finance systems skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
