Overview
In this role you will lead environmental strategy and governance across a large manufacturing network, driving compliance, improvement, and decarbonisation. You will partner with site leadership to raise standards, manage regulatory relationships, and deliver measurable gains in energy, carbon, waste, and water. The position offers a chance to shape the group’s Net Zero journey, influence capital decisions, and share best practices across sites. Responsibilities
- Lead the Group’s environmental strategy, governance and ISO 14001 across multiple sites
- Own environmental compliance and regulatory relationships with site teams and external bodies
- Develop carbon reporting and reduction programmes (Scope 1-3) and lead Net Zero roadmap
- Drive improvements in energy, waste, water and resource efficiency and support related capital projects
- Lead environmental performance reporting, ESG requirements and KPI-driven improvement across the Group
- Coordinate best-practice sharing and data-driven capability building across sites
Key requirements
- Experience leading environmental performance in a multi-site manufacturing business
- Proven ISO 14001 experience, environmental management systems and audits
- Practical carbon accounting with Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions
- Track record of delivering measurable improvements in energy, waste, water, emissions and resource efficiency
- Strong analytical skills turning environmental data into business actions
- Relevant degree or environmental qualification
- Strong stakeholder engagement across sites
