Overview
In this role, you lead large-scale, global oncology trials within a growing precision medicine CRO. You act as the primary client liaison, oversee cross-functional trial delivery, and ensure financial and quality targets are met. You will shape study strategies, manage risk, and drive continuous process improvement in collaboration with senior leadership. You’ll influence outcomes through strategic planning, stakeholder management, and proactive execution, making a meaningful impact on patient health worldwide.

Responsibilities
- Serve as primary client liaison and lead client/proposal engagements
- Oversee end-to-end clinical trial delivery across portfolios
- Direct and mentor project managers and study teams
- Manage budgets, scope, and change orders; monitor project profitability and forecasting
- Develop robust project plans with timelines and risk mitigation
- Ensure quality management and inspection readiness (eTMF, CAPA)
- Prepare status updates for clients and senior management
- Lead internal and client meetings to advance study strategies
- Coordinate cross-functional team execution and training compliance
- Support business development and bid defense activities
- Provide ongoing performance feedback and manage escalation of issues
- Travel domestically and internationally as needed
Key requirements
- Minimum 8 years in clinical research or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years direct project management experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and customer service demeanor
- Experience managing highly complex and global studies or a portfolio of studies
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; advanced in Microsoft Project, eTMF, EDC and CTMS
- Mastery of ICH-GCP and company SOPs; strong PM techniques and tools
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage risk/change management
- Proven track record in on-time, within-budget delivery and client-facing environments
