Overview

As Project Director in our London PMC team, you will drive the delivery of large-scale construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring safety, quality and on-time, on-budget outcomes. You will lead a sizable team and coordinate with clients, designers, and subcontractors while safeguarding the company’s collaborative reputation. The role blends strong HSQE leadership with complex programme and procurement oversight to realise the firm’s growth ambitions. You’ll work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment that values initiative and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client, design, consultant, sub-contractor and 3rd party stakeholder relationships
  • Maintain the company’s collaborative, safe, on-time and defect-free project delivery reputation
  • Oversee operational project risks and opportunities
  • Develop and maintain a robust construction programme with time constraints
  • Ensure procurement schedule aligns with the construction programme
  • Oversee appointment of all sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Prepare and manage the construction phase health and safety plan
  • Lead HSQE compliance and promote best practice with the HSQE team
  • Organise team structure for efficient resource use
  • Collaborate with project commercial team to stay within cost plan

Key requirements

  • Proven experience as Project Director with Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor
  • End-to-end construction delivery experience on large schemes (100m-500m)
  • Excellent technical knowledge of construction procedures
  • MCIOB and degree qualified in a related subject
  • Up-to-date knowledge of building and Health & Safety legislation
  • Commercial and contractual awareness
